Dupuch & Turnquest is one of the oldest and
most respected Law Firms in The Bahamas.
We enjoy an international reputation earned in more
than sixty (60) years of practice commencing in 1948 when our late Founding
Partner, the Honourable E.A.P. Dupuch, C.B.E., Q.C., commenced legal
practice. Our other Founding Partner,
Sir Orville A. Turnquest, GCMG, Q.C., is presently a Consultant Counsel to the
Firm and has previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Attorney General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Governor-General of
the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
While we initially made our reputation as Leading
Litigation Counsel, we have broadened our practice areas over the past twenty-five
(25) years in particular and now enjoy a considerable commercial practice also
offering our Clients full Probate, Conveyancing and Corporate Services.
Our Firm maintains Offices in Freeport and in
Nassau and its two Senior Partners, Terence R. H. Gape, Esq. and Mrs. Caryl A.
E. Lashley, have been in practice for thirty-seven (37) years and thirty (30)
years respectively.
Historically, we have represented such
international Clients as Gillette Inc., Lubrizol International Inc., Cooper
Development Company of California, Maple Leaf Foods Inc., Lauritzen Shipping, Steamship Insurance Management Services Limited and Ungria International Inc. We
have also been pleased to represent the Southern Company of Atlanta in their
