Frederica G. Mccartney was born in Nassau, Bahamas on the 16th April, 1937.  She received her early education at St. John’s College, and later attended the College of The Bahamas, Nassau.

She commenced employment with the firm of Dupuch & Turnquest in 1968 and was the Secretary to the Hon. Eugene A. P. Dupuch from that time until his death in 1981.

She then became articled to the Hon. Orville A. Turnquest, and after passing the prescribed examinations, she was called to the Bahamas Bar on the 28th November, 1986.

She is presently a Partner in the firm of Dupuch & Turnquest and specializes in Company Incorporations, Conveyances and Mortgages, Trade Mark Applications, Probate matters, and General Legal Services.
